Autism Awareness - Golf
Autism is the fastest-growing development disability in the United States. Fourteen years
ago only 1 in 10,000 children was diagnosed with austim; today that rate is in 1 in 150.Despite these epidemic proportions, research shows that many parents of young children have very little knowledge about autism. While there is currently no cure for autism and no effective means to prevent it, early detection and intervention can result in critical improvements for many young children. This campaign aims to raise awareness of and increase parental knowledge about the prevalence of austim and to empower parents to take action if their child is not meeting certein developmental milestones.
