UNICEF Yemen Children face the future Nutrition
The face of malnutrition in Yemen is a child's face. Naser is five months old, but he weighs less than most newborns. Ravaged by a lack of proper nutrition brought on by incorrect feeding practices, Naser faces a difficult battle back to health. It is a process repeated often here. In the Yemeni Swedish hospital in Taiz, each day more babies are brought in from the surrounding countryside. Over 50 percent of children under five in Yemen are stunted-robbing children of both physical and mental potential.
